The Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition is made up of manufacturers, farmers, engineers, local leaders and more than 40,000 transportation workers who understand that safe, reliable, efficient transportation is essential to Kentucky’s economy. The Coalition supports long-term, sustainable funding that provides adequate revenues for all modes of transportation so our state can maintain the infrastructure we have today and build what we need for our future.

Our Guiding Principles
The Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition advocates for more funding to modernize and fix Kentucky’s transportation systems. If we do not act now, the amount of money needed for roads and bridges will keep increasing, traffic will get worse, and our roads will continue to decline in safety. Investing in infrastructure is an investment in our economy.
A key solution to funding Kentucky’s transportation needs is by raising Kentucky’s gas tax. Just a .10 cent increase per gallon would bring in an estimated $300 million per year. Since Kentucky is a hub for logistics and interstate travel, the state could be bringing in millions more per year at no cost to Kentuckians. Calculate the amount it would cost you each year to have better, safer roads.
